Aren't all the SFH's in the US from Greenfire? How can we tell what lines the 2nd or 3rd generation eggs/birds we have are from ?

Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

Yes, I would imagine they are all Greenfire. However they did import 3 different lines and breeding 2nd or 3rd cousins would have to be better than fathers to daughters, right?? Just guessing here, please be honest and set me straight if WE need to save postage....
Thanks!

I had eggs shipped in from someone who bought several different orders from GFF. Sadly, my crested eggs didn't make it. So my 4 babies are normal headed...if that's what you call it *lol*

3 of my 4 (one month) are also crested (I am partial to crested) and I believe pullets, which is good for me, because a have a grown SFH roo. I have him with 2 EE hens, 1 BR hen and a BO.
I now have 26 eggs in my incubator. 11 from last Thursday and 15 today. Got a tray of quail eggs in there and saving the other 9 holes for Jumbo Pekin eggs
