This is my flock and I am hatching browns, greys and blacks, no light chicks.  I hatched 11 yesterday, 4 browns, 4 blacks and 3 greys (they have a home already and I did not get photos- hopefully the new owners will please post some pics!).  I would be happy to trade a dozen of my eggs with someone who has light birds if they are looking for more variety!

Lavender Laced Brahmas, Lavender Columbian Brahmas, Gold and Blue Partridge Brahmas

Buff Laced Brahmas, Gold Laced Brahmas, Blue Laced Red Brahmas
Blue Isbars, Crested Cream Legbars, Tolbunt Polish

Jubillee and Partridge Orpingtons

How exciting! I am curious to see how the birds look from that cross as well as what color eggs the offspring lay. I will have to live that through you as my Amereaucana are due to hatch tomrrow, so it will be many months before I can try that myself. What color are your Ameraucanas? God willing, I will have Blue Splash and Wheaten. I would like to cross my SFH with some blue and see what I get. Of course, that will be quite a while as I want to increase the size of my SFH flock first. Good luck with your eggs!fl.gif hugs.gif

Four of the five are laying today. Lily and Sophie are white/splash and Rosie and Daisy are dark red/black/white speckly. Daisy is crested. The other two girls with blue eggs in the bator are a blue Ameraucana and a lavender Ameraucana.

The two that are laying now are blue and lavender. There are also three wheaten/blue wheaten Ameraucanas in with one of the SFH guys but they aren't laying yet. They were hatched in June and July so it should be soon. We still have less than 11 hours of natural daylight up here so that makes a difference. I'm thinking those wheatens could make really colorful babies.

Woo hoo! We have Swedish Flower Hens ! ! !

We just picked up 12 adorable, happy, active and healthy SFH chicks this past weekend from BYC member Wimberleytexaschick.

I pasted a few pics below... but we have posted pictures of all 12 of them here - http://froggybogfarm.weebly.com/swedish-flower-hens.html

My son and I going to take pictures of them weekly so we can track how they feather out.
