Great choice! I just adore my seramas, they are wonderful.

They're incredibly sweet and gorgeous. Too bad you're not nearby, I'd be happy to incubate some serama chicks for you if you were! Mine are decent quality, definitely purebred, and I would give them to you for free or cheap to get you started. I would offer to send some eggs but I don't think I'm even getting enough at the moment to be worth it (only one hen is laying at the moment, not even daily, and the other is caring for her chicks). Oh well!

Here's the post I was writing before you said you're planning on getting some seramas:

Seramas can be a little tricky to show I think because the APA doesn't recognize them, but they are a fantastic breed, one of my favorites. Their random coloration just makes them all the more fun to breed and raise!

Old english game bantams aren't rare, but they fit all your other criteria! Also, there are lots of colors to choose from.

They're a beautiful little breed, very friendly, and have great personalities! Mine like to fly up on me when I enter the coop because they're so friendly, I love them!

I just got started with them, but you could also look into bantam sumatras. They are downright gorgeous and so far my pair is very sweet.

I've heard bad things about the friendliness of the breed overall, but I have a VERY sweet silver spangled hamburg bantam. She's wonderful and just beautiful, too!

Sebrights can be fairly flighty, but they are quite beautiful bantams as well.

I hope these suggestions help. Bantams are great!
