Mold? Disease? Feather tips turning white on Black Australorp's head

I was looking this morning because our BA "disappeared" a couple of weeks ago and just appeared back at the run trying to get in about a week and a half later. I noticed this morning when I let them out that her feathers around her tailed and sides are turning light brown. She is still thin but her comb is bright red. I'm assuming she was making a nest under our barn and went broody. Now I'm worried she could have something wrong with her? Or maybe molting? I have never had my chicken molt before. We just started raising them last summer so I'm pretty new to it.

Does anyone know what causes this? The same thing is happening to one of our Australorps. She was also about 18 months old when we noticed it. Now at 2.5 years, her larger feathers are also growing in with white tips. Our other Australorp, who is the same age, has normal feathers.
