I need some help: I've hatched these chickens. I bought Orpingtons (4) and the rest Light Sussex (16). If you watch the photo you'll see that two of them are totally white. Is that possible? Could they be Coronation? These are 8 weeks chicks. (they are wonderful foragers ! love eating termites!)
 
Did you say you got the eggs off of EBay ? Who sold them to you ? I got some from 2 - 3 diff. breeders. The first ones had 1-2 that hatched: the 3rd batch came from Donna Scheiffelbein...All air sacks appeared ruptured, except one egg...so I got one little chick. It appears to be a cockerel. (I think maybe the Post Office dropped the box and ruptured the air sacks.)
I REALLY wanted some of these little guys, but they are difficult to find, and shipped eggs are always a craps-shoot.
Please let me know if you found a reliable seller.

I hatched coro sussex from shipped eggs. (All air cells were detached, but 1 chick hatched.) She had the lav collar before 4 wks old.

Is there a chance that the white chick is an orpington or an orp x sussex mix?
