I didn't make it for the easter hatch this year, but am going to put a tray of 96 eggs in tonight when I get home. I can't wait to see what I get!

I pulled it out and there were 4 more underneath that one. Sneaky girls! Maybe they aren't so dumb after all.

Yes, they are sneaky!!  I thought that maybe it was just the one pullet doing this, because when she left it hadn't happened again. Went out yesterday to find only one egg. Hmmm, moved some bedding, and there was a whole other nest of 5 eggs under the one! th.gif Goofy little birds!  I had asked about this over in the Solkie thread, and no one else seemed to have this going on. I find that odd. Either that, or they have just never dug under the top nest??  Leave it to me to have some special freaks shows!  gig.gif

I can feather sex mine... have you tried that?  So far I think I can do that with all my varieties of Marans... I can't sex my Ameraucanas either... they are 2 months old now and I am thinking I don't have any roos..... I thought I had one but I am not thinking that now.... and one of my crosses is making me think pullet too... that would mean out of 12 I got only 1 roo WTH?  cool.png

Get some of Wynette's eggs if you want to know sex right out of the shell! I swear, I could tell what they were when they dried off! 2 roos, 1 pullet! Combs were very obvious, and the wing feathering now confirms it.
