Nice looking eggs!! Good luck with that hatch!

Kim, I knew what you meant about the open mouth. Figured it was due to a lack of java!

Hung a bag out in the run with a penny, and one on the front porch. So far, the only ones that seem afraid of it are the Silkies! gig.gif They are all standing in a huddle, looking up at it and screaming!

All combs here this morning look much redder! It's nice to see the purple backed girls too. Better than looking at bald skin.

Alrighty, here's my eggies. 22 of them are ones that came from Rod, the two eggs in the top carton all the way to the right are the first eggs coming from my black birchen girls here. I'm happy to report, they are not doing too bad either!!!

I've always seen Grisham lines listed as Jeane/Grisham. So, that would be my guess.

I just got a call from the post office and sounds like my birchen eggs are here! its killing me to wait til 8 to go get them and that's only 7 more minutes away haha!

gig.gifYes, they were listed as Jeane/Grisham, so I thought they were from 2 lines crossed!!

Here are the Marans babies as of this morning. Only took me 13 minutes to upload this pic! The Blue roo? is 7 days, the Wheaten is 6 days, and the BCM pullet? is 5 days.

I hope so, that's what I put in there! Figured what good would a dull penny do? idunno.gif If you don't have any shiney pennies, soak one in white vinegar for a few minutes.

CUTENESS! Don'tcha just love hatches that are several days apart? This hatch of yours reminds me of the that one hatch that I had where the first chick hatched on day 23, the second on day 25 and the third on day 27. Crazy!

Arielle~ Don't know if the penny needs to be new or not, but did fail to mention that I only fill the bags just over a 1/3 of the way. The baggies tend to get pretty heavy and if using thumbtacks or big headed push pins to hold them up......well......a full baggie of water is just too much weight for them. I still have the bags up that I put up the summer before last. Water is still clear as the day I put it in....wonder if that is what the penny is for?

Something  I just realized......even in frigid temperatures those baggies of water did not freeze. Hmmmmm.....must find out what the penny is for.

just babbling on.....probably have no clue as to what I talk about. LOL!
