Now that stinks. So far, the only casualty here was my little Lazer, everyone else seems to be doing ok. Just got out of the garden, and there are now a plague of some kind of beetles eating my tomato plants! They weren't there last night, but they have almost totally destroyed one huge plant, and were working their way to the others. Sprinkled some DE on the plants and on the ground, and you should've seen those things scurry! Sure hope it kills them all, I'm getting used to eating my tomatoes each day, they are sooooo good.

I think if I can eek them along through tomorrow, then they will be ok...we will be in the mid to lower 90s through the end of the week to weekend, so they might get enough relief. It will feel downright cool to be in the low 90s after all of this

NOw my kidsd would be right in there picking up every bug possible to feed to the chickens!! I get two jobs done at once, well three: decrease numeber of pestty bugs, chickens get good protein, and my boys are entertained!lol.png

Yes it would! The other night when it dropped into the upper 50s, I woke up shivering and had to grab a blanket! Wish it would cool off like that again, at least at night. Last night, it stayed right around 86* inside all night long. Ugly sleeping weather.

I do too. Was thinking about letting Pip into the garden to eat some bugs, but he loves tomatoes too, so not sure he'd be better than the beetles?? lol.png

no joke. Have you noticed that everyone seems to be getting more irritable? I don't think people are getting the rest they need. Including me! haha..I'm a wee bit crabby these days, and I hate it.

Well, on the good side here, there is no one to get crabby at, except maybe the bumper crop of kittens!! I just saw 2 more new faces last night! Anyone need some really cute barn kitties?? They come from a long line of great mousers and snake killers. Someone, anyone?? Take one two, or ten! lol.png

yuckyuck.gif  Maybe bugs would go first?  I had a dog that ate all my tomatoes--could figure out why all the big fist size green tomatoes were not ripening! gig.gif
