I took a couple pictures of the Chocolate pair yesterday (before I fell asleep and slept WAYYYY to long!)...  They are around 5 months old now.

Oooh  I do love chocolate.   Chocolate cake, chocolate candy bars, chocolate truffels , chocolate pudding,  chocolate pie, chocolate pizza, chocolate covered marshmallows, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate milks, chocolate peanut butter cups, chocolate sundaes, hot chocalate, chocolate oreo balls.

And I do love those chickens.

I feel like a pig. I just got finished with all the coop cleaning and bird dusting.  Again, I am so glad to have that job done!

I also made a pen of chickens going to auction Friday. Roosters, of course. And alot of them!

I did the cleaning and dusting about 3 weeks ago.  Now it's time to do it again.

Kathy, I'm glad you're taking the chickens to the auction. It must be fun.

Just posted a video on my Delawares.  Would love to hear your comments.  Be brutally honest!

Excuse me?   When I die they'll probably find I choked to death on a Lindt Truffle or have to pry a candy bar from my hand.  lau.gif     If they ever make chocolate illegal I'll lose my salvation.

So it's hatch time tomorrow but as usual I'm getting pips and peeps today.  I don't count the set day, but there seems to always be one who's early.  A Scotts # 2 and two EE's.  My EE's seem to have some very strong hatches.  I hope these Dels do ok.  I'm already saving for the next hatch.

And yes Kathy mutts do look nice.  Mr. Crooked toes it's turns out is a Montgomery Blue Traveler and I hope to put him with some Amer hens and get some pretty red and blue chicks.  He's got nice color.  Who knows he may turn out to be the best mistake I've gotten.  Well ok he is the only mistake I've gotten.

Is that a Polish mutt in there?  Or Houdan?  Very cute!

I had some Polish once. Some of my very first chickens. They were also the very first to go. I hated those flighty things. They were absolutely blinded by their crest and would fly into the fence, etc. No Polish for me. sickbyc.gif

Hey, my wife is Polish.

Semi - no  that's crested Swedish Flower hen.  Mr. Crooked toes was suppose to be one too, but he's not.  Of the Swedes two have crests.  You can see more on Green Fire farms site.
