Yes, and if you knew her health history, you'd realize what I said is a GOOD thing! wink.png

LOL  Yes she did...she can be a mean one that Speckledhen.  wink.png    Actually she was paying me a compliment.  I was very ill this past summer and dropped down to 78 lbs and have gained some weight back and now am around 100 lbs.  She is my dear friend and is probably relieved to be able to make that comment about me gaining weight.

Getting there....about 30 - 40 more pounds to go.  Woot!   My baggie sweats over shorts did make me look bigger in the pic but I am still around 100 lbs so I am happy.

I am so sorry about Miranda but I am so glad she got to spend time being held by her Daddy and all of this special time with you before she went.  Like I told you on the phone...I bet she just knew I was letting the newborns out in the grass for the time today so she left you to come here and watch over the hatchlings in the grass and sunshine...I bet she was checking out Lancelot and Hector too...they are hotties ya know.  wink.png

Kathy...thank you.  I adore Brandon and so does DH...I feel blessed to live so close to him, wish his schedule let us spend more time together because we love having him come here and visit with us.

Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well-preserved body. but rather, to skid in sideways, totally worn out and exhausted while shouting loudly "WOW! What a ride!"

For those of you who did not know, I am an instructor in "chicken comfort" and I am doing a video series for you all.

This first lesson was done for Serrin and Joletabey...there will be a quiz next Monday so practice practice  (Lesson II will be next

and it will focus on "The Sway and Pat" with emphasis on the lift and tuck method of getting the chicken off the ground in order to comfort.)

Lesson I -  "The Sway"

Our two new baby cochins from Braclin...I do believe that my daughter has picked out a PAIR... Lizzie is almost positively a female BUT Lucy I believe may be a Luke or Lucky.  LOL  They are a gold laced and the other is a partridge, standards.

Cyn, wanted to show off your grandson *snicker*.  Hector does not like for me to 'pet' him or pick him up but he wants to be near me all the time.  I took a break from yardwork today and started pulling some clover for Athena, Zena, Hector and some of his gals and after they had their fill of me feeding them clover, they wandered off and went back under the tree to nap.  So, I sat down in the sunshine on the grass for a few and Hector decided he would sit down beside me and hang out with me for a bit.  LOL  I really do adore him....I love both my boys but wow he reminds me of Suede.  :)

Well, I may be wrong, and time will tell, but I think from the second batch I got ALL ROOSTERS.  Now, from the first batch, I got ALL PULLETS.

Is this the oddest thing??

Thanks for the photos, Kath.  Really enjoyed looking at them, as always.

Sorry about Miranda, Cynthia.  At least you and DH were there to comfort her to the end.  hugs.gif
