Thank you, Laura.

Looks like we'll be getting paid every Friday for the tonnage they take off the acreage-when he gets a check for what he takes them, they'll cut us our check for our part of it. Will have to save our checks and maybe they'll almost add up to something, LOL. No idea how many weeks it will take him, maybe up to a month, but he wants to get it drying for firewood for next winter so was anxious to start on it. They're working till they lose daylight and then I'll walk down and see what the first day did to the place. It's already cooling down at near 8 p.m. This weekend is going to be a scorcher so they probably want to do as much as they can right now during the heat lull.

Everytime I have a weather discussion with someone and I tell them its often hotter in the rest of the country than it is where I am in Florida, they think Im full of it.  Well, this is living proof!

Hey Halo...how much rain have you gotten this week? 12 inches for us so far. That's on top of the 14" we have gotten in the last two weeks from and since Beryl. Think we can say the multi year drought is over?

There was a sign posted outside a church here...."If you have been praying for rain, you can STOP!"

I would prefer your Florida weather - IF it wasn't so darn humid!

First time I visited my cousin in Jax, I got off the plan and felt my makeup slide and drip off my face. lol.png She told me, "Oh, yes - we don't wear makeup in Florida." gig.gif

I about die in that humidity!

Taylor is now working on Welcome mats.

The first one - with the yellow - needs another coat of yellow. The yellow is paint.

The second one - with the "O" in black - she is gonna put an egg in there. It is spray rubber (not paint), and I like it best. It only comes in black though. There are lots of different colors and prices of mats. She is trying a bunch of them.
