Also also,keep our goat in your thoughts as she may be kidding tonight.I havent seen contractions but she is all puffy back there and we could see the kids moving inside her.Never saw that before.She didnt want me to leave her side today as i cleaned her pen.So she is in the kidding barn with a nice fluffy bed of shavings and good nummies.

Oh wow, baby goats are one of my favorite things in the whole world......... They are so sweet!  Fingers crossed for you and your goat.  What kind of goats do you have?

Thank you DANA, Alison and Renee for hosting the super fun meetup and for all the work you did to make it work so well. I am sure it was a lot of work to put on and clear up. Sorry I could not stay to help with clean up - Saturday was crazy and I had to run.

Cari, you can put your eggs into the 190 if you like  - it is running anyway and there is lots of room :)

I can't believe I'm going to type this, but whatever - I'm hopeless. If any of my eggs that Renee is incubating actually hatch, it should be sometime close to this weekend. I figure if I'm going to go to all the extra work and worry that goes along with new fuzzy buns, I might as well go a little farther. Is anybody expecting a large fowl hatch anywhere around this coming weekend? I'd love to have the chicks as close in age to each other as possible. I'd love some lavender Ams, maybe some Welsummers, maybe even another Marans. I don't know - what all is everybody hatching? I'd love to hear about what you've got. Renee: I'm going to be collecting a dozen eggs for hatching for a friend, and I need some fun brown layers. Could I buy like 2 or 3 Wellie eggs from you?

I have chicks hatching at least once a week.  This week Black Copper Marans, Buff Orpingtons, Easter Eggers, Black Star, Silver Campines, Lavender Opringtons, Silkies and Gold Laced Wyandottes.    Let me know if you want any of these as a hosting gift.  It was a great gathering and thank you again for your hospitality.

It was such a wonderful meetup.  Many thanks to Dana for opening up her home to all of us.  And to Renee and Allison for all of their hardwork.  I enjoyed myself so much and wish I could have just stayed in Dana's barn w/ her lovely horses.  I would have if I did not have all of those mouths to feed.  All of you that were there know exactly how many birds I have and well it increased by 14 yesterday and will do another 13 on Friday and from what I hear from Miriam another jump in the population. 

It was so nice and relaxing.  I drove back to LA eating Satsumas ?  off Dana's tree and wish I had taken MORE.  They were so good. 

Dana:  I had given Miriam some eggs to hatch.  If I have anything you would like, please let me know.  I would be more than happy to share with you.  I have BCM's and Mottled Javas and Cari is hatching some Lav's for me.  Egg color is just so so.
