I think you should bring Duck Duck. He seemed to have a good time chasing everyone.

I will just remember to bring my rose gloves. Or welders gloves.

All kidding aside, I am sure it will be fine.

Al, I had EE's A LONG time ago and mine laid a really light green colored egg. I did not get any this time around because I did not remember them being all that friendly but I think I am going to deal with it because I want some color other than BROWN.

I have an EE that lays light green/blue eggs. She's really sweet. You might want to give them another try. My Red Star isn't laying at all but I did catch her laying the EE's egg this morning. So, that's a good sign.

luv2animals: I have 6 EE's and they all lay colored eggs. My very favorite hen is an EE. She is so incredibly sweet! She loves to be held and snuggled. I also have a sweet little Turken hen that lays olive eggs. She came from Kev. I'm trying to see if he has a couple of more birds he can let go of. Have you thought about a Turken?

Mine are not that friendly but they are not aggressive either but I cannot be sure that they will lay green or blue eggs. I heard that some EE's lays brown eggs also, so we'll see. They are like 8 months old already and I am still waiting.

Knock Kneed Hen: I had gotten my EE's from Murray McMurray and it could have been that I was overrun with chickens at that time and I just did not have the time to spend with them and maybe that is why I do not recall them being that friendly. Probably my fault. This time around, I have over stimulated them and they are all really very friendly. I have chickaparrots as my friend calls them. I have some that like to hang out on my shoulder, peck at my hair, peck at my whatever string is hanging from me (sweatshirt). So I am sure if I had given the EE's as much attention it would have been fine.

I have never personally had nor seen a Turken in person. Honestly, they do not appeal to me. I like pretty and having a naked neck just does not do it for me.

Al, That is another thing that I remember, they take FOREVER to lay eggs. Some of them lay like a olive green color egg that is really dark. I personally never had a EE lay a BROWN egg. Or they could have and I did not know and probably thought my other hens laid it.

Al, I think I recall the Turkens being mentioned earlier. Something about you found them interesting and your wife not so much? Or what part are you referring to? I can go and look it up.
