I am ready for my DH to go hunting. Even thou the first day of deer season ussually ends up on our anniversary or a few days befor and he has to go get set up. It makes him happy. If he wasnt good to me everyday I would have a problem bt, it is just another day. I helped process the doe last year I think I impressed him.

have you tried to go hunting? i love to be in the woods watching all the wildlife .  smile

My brother got a black bear in Canada with a flintlock. It can be done. Shot placement is everything. I personally go traditional. Hawkin styled 54 cal. Got a nice whitetail in N.E. Washington last year with a patched round ball.

Here in NJ our only options is slug gun or black powder for bear. My biggest buck fell to a traditions lightnin bolt .50cal.

If you have never gone with him chicknduck you should give it a try. A day in the woods is awesome.

I haven't tried yet. Maybe in a few years. But I do sit in our woods and watch the wildlife any chance I get. I do enjoy it.
