I just shipped out some egg orders... YOU know... it is a sad day when folks that work for the postal service CAN'T read!!!.... I clearly mark all egg boxes not once but TWICE with HOLD ... call for pickup followed by the persons name and phone number.  STILL the knotheads put the box on a truck sent out to deliver.    Oh this infuriates me!  The boxes are stamped all over with  FRAGILE  Please Handle with Care  and the box arrived with one side smashed in!  The eggs  managed to arrive intact... Thanks to the foam blocks and bubble wrap.  Now we wait.....

How many big Orps can fit on top of a feed barrel?

Hi rockingpaints, I ordered them from Greenfire last month. They were the closest to me with available day olds. They hatched yesterday and I picked them up in person today. Just got home. They're still in the box...peeping ever so quietly and sleeping. Waiting for my husband so we could all open it up together. It will be a long 1/2 hr until he gets here. Geez, wasn't ever really good at waiting to open Christmas or Birthdays. But...I'm striving for patience.

maybe im wrong , but that looks like  a cockeral...its just a trait that some of the males are slow to fill in feathers..thou they will fool you on occasion, here is a clipped poodle, he like yours has now filled in more and looks more normal..some of the orps have smaller combs also which makes them even harder to tell apart..last year i thought i had a box of  pullets...nope, it took a long time but they were not pullets, well one was..

i will get a more recent pic when it quits raining he looks handsome now..by the way thats a nice looking bird.

some them look like a mess until they get rid of the baby feathers..then a beautiful swan emerges..
