Does anyone know how to tell the age of chicks? PICS!!

The cheat sheet I got said: week 1 - wing feathers week 2 - tail feathers week 3 - back feathers week 4 - breast feathers week 5 - head feathers

Puppy pads ARE a clever Idea I use a pet cage with a tray that removes for cleaning and a little bit of straw. Works great, easy to clean and great for compost. Slide in and out slowly to allow chicks o transfer off and onto tray.

Very helpful!!! Thank you! Just bought 4 Australorp chicks and I think I have 1 or 2 roos.. but I'm hopeful of 1 lol.

This is fabulous information! Also something good to know is that roosters feathers grow slower. So example all my hen chicks that were 2 weeks old had their tail feathers grown in about 1 inch long.. except 1 chick.. who was supposed to be a rooster and was :D
