I got to go the swap in springfield too... So fun to see all the little chicks and ducks. But it was very cold.

If we weren't just about to get new ducks I would of come home with a whole flock!

Our ducks arrive this week to round out our barnyard. Wish us luck.

I went to the swap on Sunday and came home with four ees from a gentleman named George. I think he said they were 6 weeks old, but now I am not sure. Does anyone know George? Does anyone know how old my chick are?!?

I'm just catching up now, but I was also at the swap in Springfield. The rest of my girls are coming in an week or so so I didn't bring any others home. It was great to see such a great turnout though.

I have 5 roosters to give away. I will deliver within 20 miles of athens vt. I have 1 white silkie, 2 black silkies, and 1 red silkie, and one black frizzle roo. All bantams. There are friendly enough I just have way to many in a small coop. I forgot they are almost 1 year old.

Yeah, I can't wait to get 'em into the garden (right after carpet shampooing and power washing the house, that is...). The seeds directly sowed earlier have come up and even the spuds have broken ground - and survived the frost -

yahoo! I'm also itching to get some colorful annuals into pots.

I appreciate the warning...today I potted a zillion annuals into containers and also got veggie seedlings into the garden, then had to cover EVERYTHING or bring it inside - the day quickly went from hot to quite nippy later. This time I didn't forget to cover the poor spuds!
