Am I a weenie for being afraid of my own rooster? Help please.

Yep my rooster attacked me 3 times; the first time I kicked him with my broken toe

, the second and third time I took a stick and a bee hive frame and a lamp and... well I taught him a lesson. He is kind of scared of me now. When I collect the eggs now I toss him out of the coop/run and collect them real fast and he flies back in later (he likes to free range). I started a thread a while back about my rooster and they gave me some good advice: either put him in the pot or teach him a lesson!

It definitely sucks when a rooster doesn't work out, especially a gorgeous one but safety, esp of kids, needs to come first. The rooster I have now I actually gave back to my breeder because he was flying up at me and was especially aggressive towards my husband. I changed my mind 2 days later and got him back and he didn't try flying up at me anymore. Guess he figured out he was going to be dinner if he didn't change his tune. Now he's as nice as the hens and moves out of my way when I go into the coop.
