Hi! They are looking into making chicken legal in my city (yes I know I am bad for already owning them lol) and I need your help! If any of you fine chicken owners out there would take the time out of your busy day to email my mayor letting him know that chickens are not dirty smelly messes of animals but indeed can be kept clean, feed the family, and be part of the family! They are so close to passing it but want to know how it works in other cities and your emails could make all the difference! Thank you all so much for you time and I hope and pray that this gets voted in as I know so many already that count on the eggs from their chickens for their family!
Here is his email xoXO

Whoever writes I would mention that a dozen chickens create much much less (and less odor) than say 3 dogs and less noise. Plus the manure can be used in gardens (recyclable) where dog and cat feces cannot. They are also great at managing bug problems without harsh chemicals. Also they will eat just about anything that is leftover (less waste in the landfills). Also they provide eggs that are much more healthy than you can buy at the store. I could go on and on. Good Luck.

Thanks guys! They are really close to approving it, the Mayor's daughter is actually my neighbor lol and she has chickens and told us chickens will be ok and not to fret! Just wanted to give them a few extra emails to push it along, the city said most likely it will be voted in October and that is about when my babies will be ready to go outside, YAYYY

definetly a good cause.where did you get your new chicks from?a feed store or did you order them?

I got them from a wonderful fellow BYC member who lives just a bit from me, she ordered a bunch and let me pick out my babies! Yes def a good cause, can not wait for it to be voted in seems now it is a sure thing yayyyy thanks guys!
