Sumatra Thread! - Page 91

that'd be good, very interested to see what you got. Sumatras feather slowly, so it may be a while before you can start to see all that. I'm assuming they are reddish too seeing how it's hard to tell them apart from the others?

The tails should help set them apart, but I don't know at what age to expect it. They're just 4 1/2 weeks old now...

at this age the golden lakenvelders will have a single comb and the sumatras have pea comb...  the lakenvelders will also feather in black and varying shades of cream to golden brown and have gray/ slate legs with pink feet bottoms    hope this helps you sort out who's who

silkies and (projects), sumatras, lakenvelders, frizzles, polish and (projects), sultans, buff orps, black sexlinks, turkeys, red golden pheasents, Peepers, dogs, cats, fish, horses, wild kids, and one very understanding DH, come on over for a visit to the crazy farm

Thanks  - I'll see if I can tell by that.

Boggy - The Lakenvelders are definately showing the looks of the photos I have; there's about 8 or 9 reddish-brown or red/blond - 7 are pretty small compared to the others. It's kinda fun trying to figure out what's what.
