Who Has Farm or Chicken Blogs?

Yeah, it's pretty incredible. And it's perfect for families like mine where it's just me and hubby. Of course, larger families could use square foot gardening too. They'd just need more boxes.

Another benefit of SFG is it is not as labor intensive as a traditional row garden. Since you start with "clean dirt", there's no weed seeds already in the mix, so there's almost no weeding to do - except for the few deposited by birds and wind. And with vermiculite in the soil it doesn't compact, and pulling weeds out requires very little effort! Check out Square Foot Gardening to learn more.

SFG is really fun, and had the chicks not arrived, my garden might have survived the summer this year. After the peeps got here, I spent time all my free time with them and none in the garden because chicks are cuter than vegetables...

I'm pretty excited about being able to add chicken manure to my compost pile, and I'm hoping for better results this winter and next spring!

my blog has just general complaining, but also a lot of posts about food equality, my new chickens and my garden, which is doing pretty well with my new gardening technique: sit back and do nothing! It's been going pretty well too!

Added all of these to my blog reader.. which means anytime you update I get a copy in my reader, so I can keep up with all the goings on!

If you don't have a reader for blogs but would like to get one - here are some simple instructions

I have a blog where I will be writing about the progress of our coop as well as other things, and of course chicken blogging once we get the chickens, the link is in my sig.

Any other chicken blogs I can add?
