What are your chicken's names? - Page 2

All of mine are named after rocker chic's, with the exception of my unintentional rooster, Loud Howard (formerly Nancy Wilson-SLB)

Pat Benatar and Pink (Welsummers)
Gwen Stafani and Debbra Harry (BO's)
Ann Wilson (SLB)
Joan Jett (partrige colored EE)
Chrissy Hynde (EE-no muffs or beard)
Grace Slick (EE)
Annie Lennox and Sinead O'Connor (Dominiques)
Stevie Nicks and Christine McVee (Astralorps)
Lita Ford and Janice Joplin (GLW)

I had also gotten a Black Cochin Banty roo, that I named Larry the Screaming Chicken,  from a friend of mine.  He (the roo, not the friend) will be re-homed within the next day or so because of the realization that Nancy Wilson was only posing as a girl.

I have four dominiques (three pullets and one roo) and they are all named after different herbs:

1. Rosemary
2. Marjoram (we call her "Marge" for short)
3. Chamomile (we call her "Cammi" for short)
4. Rue (the Roo, obviously wink )

So if I get more chickens, I'll just continue the trend with the herb names...the possibilities are endless....lol

I like people names for my chickens.  Odd, because I don't name my dogs and cats with people names.  Anyway, here goes:

Hens:
Fuzzbutt (gone) Baby chick failed to thrive
Hilary (gone) - EE
Ellen (gone) - bantam Lavender Cochin
Sarah (gone) - Brown Leghorn
Matilda (gone) - Black Australorp
Millicent (gone) - Golden Lakenvelder
Laverne (gone) - Welsummer
Minerva - Golden Lakenvelder
Rebecca - EE
Buffy - Buff Orpington
Greta - Black Sex-Link
Bernadette - Cuckoo Marans
Lacey - Silver Laced Wyandotte
Rhoda - Rhode Island Red
Betsy - Plymouth Rock - Barred
Shirley - Welsummer
Delilah - Delaware
Gilda - EE
Joy - bantam EE
Alice - Silver Sebright
Lola - black Cochin
Emma - bantam EE
Angel - bantam EE
Molly - Black Australorp
Samantha - EE - Rebecca's hatched egg sired by Carl, EE

Roosters:
Carl - EE
George - Silver Sebright
Alex - Silver Sebright
Charlie - bantam Buff Brahma
Nugget (odd that he doesn't have a people name) - bantam mottled Cochin

They all got named as their personalities emerged, except for Rhoda, Lacey and Buffy.  They were, well, obvious names.

I have chicks not yet named:
5 Olive Eggers
1 Black Jersey Giant
1 Light Brahma
3 bantam Cochins  (one is tentatively Gidget)
3 lavender Orpingtons
6 Jersey Giants hatched yesterday & today: 3 Splash, 2 Black, 1 Blue
