Never mind I found it. Rhode Island allows Providence to have up to six chickens.

Technically, PROVIDENCE allows its residents up to six chickens per property. Rhode Island has nothing to do with it. Shoot, if all of Providence could only have 6 chickens, I'd be in trouble!! ;-)
if you buy 3 abutting properties you can have 18

Old thread, I know. I understand posting here like the party guest that rings the doorbell after the rest are all gone and the hosts are drunk, tired and ready for bed.
But!
I'm a chicken owner here in Texas who is moving to Rhode Island in the Summer, and can't imagine living without hens in the backyard. Can't find anything about any ordinances for EP either way, but ****, for the taxes you all pay, you should be able to have goats in your front yard and use them for lawn mowers!
One more person on your team, if you still need a fight- will be there in June 2017
