Well, let's see...

14 weeks - 3 RIRs, 3 NHRs - all hens for laying

10 weeks - 3 Barred Rocks, 3 Ameracaunas, 1 Buckeye - all hens for laying

5 weeks - 12 Buckeyes - 11 hens, 1 rooster - for raising (will be segregated this week)

So that's 25 - planned on having 6 for fresh eggs!

The Ole Cowboy

Gittin' older, but not agin'!

Starting again - and enjoying it!  3 Rhode Island Red hens, 3 New Hampshire Red hens, 3 Barred Rock hens, 3 Ameracauna hens, 1 Buckeye hen - wait! Chicken math...while I was completing the brooder, 12 more Buckeye pullets and 2 Buckeye roos...a total of 27 birds!  Need a bigger coop...time to build the Buckeye Boudoir

11 in total

6 cockerels (3 Buffs, 2 PBR and 1 NHR) and 5 pullets (3 Buffs, 1 PBR and 1 NHR). I technically hatched 54% males, but for the individual breeds it was almost exactly 50% tongue.png

I am trying to keep a few roosters around to try to get some more laying hens in the mix, but they are just over 3 months old and the practice crowing has officially begun...

I have a 3mo-chuck which I rescued as a one month.  It looked like a boy initially, but is starting to look like a pullet now.  XD  I also have a 1 yo adopted female dog (mutt).  I call them Pintu and Tintu!!  XD  I am not new to chicken, my Grandparents had lots and lots of them. <3  I am undecided if I should get a mate for the chick.  The chick is friends with the dog.  So all is well for now!!  ^^
