Can ducks get mareks? My silkie flock has mareks running thru it sad and I was wondering if ducks can get mareks to or can they carry it if I was to sell them? I dont wish mareks on anyone

Just looked into my book and it say all poultry are susceptible to it.  Chickens are more then any other poultry.

I am not sure ducks fall under poultry arent they waterfoul?

Yes, they are waterfowl.  The book covers both and names them as poultry for ease of use.  It's the "Poultry Disease Manual" by the Texas cooperative extension.  It covers anything from chicken to ducks to geese.  They lay out each illness and tell you what breeds are effected.  You can order it at http://texasextension.tamu.edu
