Meyer's hatchery.... - Page 2

Just to order shipping boxes its 51 dollars. Why is that? Sounds a little like theft to me when other places are shipping at 14.95 through USPS

I ordered a mottley assortment (is that redundant??) from Meyer. I have ordered from McMurray many times in the past but I really wanted sexed Welsummers and EEs; McM only has straightrun WSs and was sold out of EEs SO Meyer it was. I called several times with questions (mostly, how easy is it going to be to tell my $30 chicks from my bargain $2.50 ones) and they were extremely nice on the phone. The chicks shipped Mon and arrived Wed at 8am at my local rural PO. I had 2 DOAs and 2 more banties die the next day. I think they were just crowded by the big girls :( But after that everything's been peachy! and yes, I can tell the cream legbars from the other by the big spike of feathers they sprouted :)
