I am sorry, I have gotten too many spam messages and for some reason the way you wrote it made me think spam.

There are too many breeds and varieties in the world to have them all... but its too hard just to choose a few.

Currently breeding Bantam Orpingtons, Anconas, White Faced Black Spanish, and RC Rhode Island Reds.  Also have Buff, Blue Swedish and Runner ducks along with Chinese Geese.

I have a 4-H group and in that I have a couple of children looking for some RI Reds to show. Do you have any chicks or eggs for sale and if not maybe you can direct me to the best place to buy a good quality show bird.

Thank you.

Darlene

I got 3 pullets and a rooster from Matt at the Florida Sunshine Classic in Lake City, Florida. The birds are adjusting well to their new home. Matt told me the pullets were about 9 months old and the rooster was around 2 years old. My other Heritage are about the same age and have started laying. I haven't got any eggs from Matt's birds yet. I didn't expect to right away. I figured they may not lay for awhile while they are getting used to their new home. They are in a quarantine pen right now. I put some golf balls in their nest boxes to hopefully encourage them to investigate the nest boxes.

I checked out the link. Not very long ago I put a few Heritage eggs in an incubator and only half of the eggs I put in turned out to be fertile. I usually don't get very good hatches in the winter.

The Mohawk eggs are in North Carolina. I saw some from Alabama on Ebay last year. There are some more HRIR on there but the guy does not know what line he started with years ago. Also said he got his last male from Bob Gilbert to outcross. Maybe he is here on this thread and will respond.

$40 for 6 eggs, that may or may not hatch to be sent some time in spring...It does not sound like a good bargain or a wise decision no matter how you look at it. ..
