The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

Hello everyone!
I live in the foothills of the western part of NC and have been searching for true heritage Rhode Island Reds (& heritage Barred Rocks) within a reasonable driving distance of me for some time now.
Does anyone know of a breeder within a couple hours of this area?
Any help is very much appreciated!
Thanks!

I thought I'd share a picture of my chicks. I don't think they are as old as Fred's. I haven't sorted through these yet. The pen to the left side of the picture are some males from another hatch.
The ones with the combs are young males. These have to be sorted yet.

Saturday after thanksgiving ..... But it's bantam only.
Last year at a poultry show I was talking to Matt's dad and he told me that Roberts had really fine birds and that I should talk to him. I sent him a couple of messages but never got a response. Right now all of my birds are the same as Matt's, Actually I got birds from Matt a few years ago and this past January at the show in Lake City, FL., I got another cockerel from him. I love my birds but Joe (Matt's dad) said he thought Roberts had some of the finest birds. I read your BYC signature, Mohawk/Reece standard RIR's,Roberts line standard RIR's.

Thought I would post some updated pictures of my RC cockerel and of my favorite pullets. It's amazing that how much your birds can change within a few weeks. Although he has a large frame, he still needs to fill in some and he's still growing in some of his hackle and tail feathers, I think he's a pretty decent guy. One of my pullets needs to develop better tail carriage, but I do like her otherwise. She is holding it a bit higher lately. They are five and a half months old and it looks to me like the pullets will be laying within a month or so :yesss:
