It's a great "snack" bread too with wine, olives, and other salty things like prosciutto, etc.

I just made sourdough no-knead bread using the recipe from http://chezpim.com/bake/no-knead-pain-a.  It came out amazing with great flavor and crust.  I started my sourdough starter with instruction found at http://www.breadcetera.com/?p=58.  The starter uses no commercial yeast- I followed the directions and it worked the first time.  Now it's over a year old and I'm able to abandon it in a jar in the back of the fridge- take it out when I'm ready to bake, feed it and it's good to go.  Both these sources use a scale to measure in grams- really the easiest and most accurate way. I'm really proud of this loaf.

I just bit into my my first of bread. I made the Olive Loaf. Okay, I guess. hmm It looked downright gorgeous, and the texture was great. Almost NO flavor though.
