My mother loved to pick blueberries--into her 90's she'd spend all day at it, if I let her, and pick the bushes so clean the birds couldn't find one. In those days--she died in 09 at 100 years old--I had an elaborate system of netting to cover the patch. In the last 6 years I haven't bothered, with that many bushes we get what we want (I finished the last of them last night) and the birds( crows especially), chickens, deer and the neighborhood bear get the rest.

I know this is an old thread, but do you have pictures?

I gave away all of my roos, but now want to breed some birds, ergo . . .

Their non-stop crowing drives me crazy. Need a solution.

Thanks!

I have a rock that is crowing at 3 months old, he started at 2 months. it is more of a squawk I am experimenting with collars but have not muffled it yet. I do not want soup. Anybody had any success on this age?

I'm trying the zip tie on my very loud and persistent barred rock rooster. Just put it on tightened to my index finger width. He shook his head for a second but seems fine now. Guess I'll know in the morning if it has any effect.
