Does anyone have any experience with this breed? I'm interested in them and maybe down the road would like to get a few hens. Are they good layers? Friendly? Does anyone have any pictures of their Iowas? I would love to see them! Thanks

Here are some pictures of mine. I've bred the 5 I have now but they were originally out of Ideal stock. I would love to get a trio from a different line. They are good solid egg layers and they are tasty. I've found them to be calm birds that do a great job foraging outside and tolerate Virginia winters easily. My hens don't have a good birchen pattern and that is something I would like to fix with future generations.
