Whoa, nice bird! Why's he a cull...and can have him? lol.

He is my culls cause don't need his color in my line . Second He is on the menu for chicken noodle soup . I don't want my bloodline on facebook for egg sellers to make a buck..... I have seen way too many of that going on now that I would stay away from it and if i don't need it then cull it and not hear a word from anyone about my line .... Thank God I stay away from the local club and group here In Cali That is why my flocks looks the way they do .... Thank God ....

I agree, too bad! sucks he has to be soup since he's good quality and healthy.

Most want to see their line passed on to other breeders and help to improve the stock that's out there, but to each their own.

A question though. Do you generally look for the wings to be so far forward? Just wondering what the body type calls for, as I look for them to be a bit farther back.

Answer is you want your type to get like this when they breed they throw out offsprings with great wing setting and straight also...

Ive had a few micro - my way of telling - the first clue is the extremely short legs, they dont live as long as the others (not sure why they just die after a 9 months or so) Yes keep close eye on them possibly seperate from flock and put with new babies just a few days old, watch for swelling in the brain their eye sockets are sometimes almost transparent Good luck!

Thanks, I'll put the little guy with the younger chicks so s/he won't get squashed! I have an incredibly docile silkie he can eventually live with if need be. I may end up just selling him as a pet if I find the right person to take him... not much room for useless birds here, but he'd make a good pet.
