If you look at the top of the wings, you can see the ones that are the most curly in the pictures. The ones on the top curl up, in one picture the mid wing feathers are barely curled down. The other wing feathers curl up a little, so they don't lay quite flat. I had one in my hatch from Deb, but I wasn't sure it was a frizzle so I sold it

. In pictures you could see that the wing feathers didn't lay flat, just the teeniest bit. In person, you sometimes could see it a little, and sometimes not so much. The lady I sold the chick to came back for more (nice lady, runs a duck and chicken rescue), and told me he was a frizzle, just like I told her he might be. Now I know what to look for when they are getting their wing feathers

This one is $24 and is for respiratory illnesses, including mycoplasma. http://www.jefferslivestock.com/product.asp?camid=LIV&pn=N2-LC&cn=3502 Here are the directions for chicks.

lincomycin-spectinomycin
Antibacterial and Antimycoplasmal
FOR USE IN CHICKENS ONLY

Each bottle contains:

Lincomycin hydrochloride, equivalent to lincomycin 16.7 grams
Spectinomycin sulfate tetrahydrate, equivalent to spectinomycin 33.3 grams
Total Antibiotic Activity 50.0 grams
Directions for Use

Indications: For use in chickens up to 7 days of age as an aid in the control of:
Airsacculitis caused by either Mycoplasma synoviae or Mycoplasma gallisepticum susceptible to lincomycin-spectinomycin.

Complicated Chronic Respiratory Disease (Air Sac Infection) caused by Escherichia coli and M. gallisepticum susceptible to lincomycin-spectinomycin.

However, I would get

Dosage: Provide 2 grams (g) antibiotic activity per gallon of drinking water. Administer as the sole source of water for the first 5 to 7 days of life.

Administration:

Amount of L-S 50 Amount of Drinking Water
1 bottle 25 gallons
For proportioners delivering 1 ounce of solution per gallon of drinking water, dissolve contents of 5 bottles in each gallon of proportioner solution.

However, I would try to find something at a store close to you so you can start treating sooner.

wow busy thread today.

wheat germ i found in walmart flour isle and a place by me called barneys.

i chose wheat germ over outs because of the high protein and its folic acid and vitamin e properties.

oats might be cheaper but it didnt posses as high and im trying to get my girls egg vitality to go up since i have no chicks hatch ever from them.

its my science project but after a less than a week i was surprised to see 6eggs at once and the 7th the folowing morning within 12 hours.
hoping that the change is good and the vitality better

Thanks! I'm staying away from Cleopatra, because the last "Cleopatra" ended up being Frank Sinatra instead. That said, Frankie has a great home

When she came to look at him, she asked what his name was, and I hesitated and she thought I don't name my chickens. Then I explained - to my son he is Fuzzball ... not to be confused with "Fuzzy" (Mama Cass), then he was Cleopatra, and now we're on to Frank Sinatra.
