Duck eggs late hatching?

duckyfromoz is so right. Nature does its own little thing, and we have to respect that. As cruel as it may sound, something it is for its best in its own way. Perhaps next time you have more luck.

I know this is an old link, but...am I understanding that you need to spritz the eggs when they get close to hatching? When? How do you know? This is all very overwhelming. Our eggs are in an incubator and they have humidity in there???

Day 1 is 24 hours later, and a low temp will cause a late hatch.

So if the eggs still look right in there, then there is a good chance they'll just be late to appear. The good news is that ducks that take longer to develop normally still hatch out just fine, which is better than eggs that are incubated at too high a temp & hatch out too soon--they tend to have a lot of deformities.

So it sounds like you're in pretty good shape. Good luck--hope it comes out great for you!
I have a question. So I think she said in lock down her temp was higher? I thought it’s supposed to be like 98.5 degrees during lockdown?
