big_smile Very nice!

Don't get all your exercise leaping to conclusions!

Poultry- they may be your pets, they may be your hobby, they may be your livestock. But remember, if you fall down in the pen, unconscious? They WILL eat you.

THey will say if they are copyrighted.

An old family recipe is usually not copyrighted unless you do it yourself. smile

So once we post recipes on BYC does that mean they're copyrighted because they're on the internet?  Guess I'm confused.  Can we post a recipe if we say "from Country Home Magazine, December, 1994", for example?

It would be nice to have a separate duck-egg section, too.  And, perhaps, a duck meat section for those who are inclined.

We've been working on a new robust system for our community member to submit, rate, and comment on recipes.   We're really excited about it and hope you'll love it!

It is still in the early stages, and there will be a bunch of formatting changes and additions, but the functionality is about 99% finished.   So, instead of making everybody wait for us to have it 100% sparkly perfect and missing out on some great cooking time during the holidays, we figured we'd release the program to the wild and start you all playing with it!

So, here it is, the BYC Community Recipe System">http://www.backyardchickens.com/recipes/

If you have any questions or problems with this new system, please post them here.

A couple notes:

1)  The system is still a work in process, so let us know if you have any problems or find bugs
2)  You MUST be a BYC member and logged in to post a recipe or a comment
3)  The system doesn't support edits of recipes, so once it is submitted you can't go back in to edit it.   With that said, if you have changes, new pictures, etc. you can email support@ byc  and we'll make the changes / additions

We want to have great pictures for all the recipes, so, get cooking and then post your pics here:

I have submitted my recipe for raspberry cheesecake.  I tried to include the picture from when I made it last but it wouldnt let me upload because the file was too big.  I do have the pic in "my uploads" however.  I tried to use that but it didnt work.  Can you put the pic in for me or let me know how to do it?  It would make it easier to include pics if the forum had an automatic sizing option like when we post pics in the other threads.   Thanks!  Terri O
