Does anyone have any pics of their black duck eggs?

Do all Cayuga lay black eggs or can you get other colors? (gray, off white, tan)

I am not even sure if my girls are laying. I have 23 ducks that run together, more than 5 breeds and I have gotten as many as 14 eggs in a day but only a greenish tinted one once and a while. Mostly I get the pretty white eggs but DH wants to see a black one. Since my girls are about 8-9 months old I am wondering if they will wait until next spring to give me eggs.
Or might I never get a black eggs from my hatchery Cayugas?

Well, I have read they do but so far I have not seen mine do it. That is the reason I have the breed. DH wants some so badly but everyday it is just white or sometimes a green tinted one. He is very disappointed so far. My Runners and others are laying but I am not so sure my Cayugas have yet.

I tried to find it on the search here but can't find anything about it or showing it.

I was checking into them as a possiible breed for me to start with and I understand their first eggs are black but they get lighter the more they lay until the eggs are white.
You'll be able to tell when they lay their first eggs because of that black coloring.

I only had 1 really dark almost black egg. Most just have a light black coating that gets scrubbed off when I wash them. They are very delicious huge orangish yolk that stand up tall

I have 3 Cayuaga hens and yes they lay black eggs. After they start laying a couple of weeks, the egg will lighten up to a tinted grey. When you wash them, the black comes off and their almost white. You can still tell the difference between the reg. white egg and the Cayuaga
