Nancy is in the house.  This is in the Senate.  The current belief is that the house won't have a problem passing it if the Senate does.

Who do we write to to protest this?

Calling their office would most likely be a more effective way.  E-mail was not beneficial when I contacted mine.  I will now call.

This bill is out of line!  Another reason why I don't trust people who wear ties.

This is what the big Agri-business companies are paying their lobbyists to back.  It's the 6 or so main egg producers with the 100,000 chickens in a barn, it's Monsanto and other big seed companies, and their ilk.  The right wing sorts are all for small farmers and gardeners.

This bill sucks.
Senator Specter [Pennsylvania], my senator-is for the bill, I've e-mail everyone over and over about my concerns
but when it comes down to it, they don't care about you or your health, just the almighty dollar.

Monsanto, wants to own the food you eat and the water you drink.

Next is the genetically modified salmon........

EXACTLY my thoughts on the last 4 post!

It would be great to keep this thread going so that more people can become informed. This isn't exactly a top story in the news (although it should be).

Too much power for the FDA; they already have too much.  I don't trust my wellness to a government agency that has no financial incentive to KEEP me healthy...

I read most of the bill also, when I first heard about it b/c I couldn't believe what I was hearing about it.  The problem in truly understanding what it is about is the language of the bill is difficult to understand, it's terms are very broad, and there are so few sites that aren't heavily slanted w/ agendas (either for or against).  That being said I too was disturbed by the list of supporters/ and opposers.  To me that said a lot more then reading the bill.

THANK YOU!
Now I will be boycotting all the supporters of this bill!
