Slow going is so true. I have a single cayuga egg from my 1st hatching attempt now on day 28 that just internally pipped. The waiting is driving me crazy!!

it is hard to get a good picture of her when she is so occupied and busy in the pond

Waiting is the hardest but it's takes time for them lil ones to break through that hard shell so be Patient and don't help unless an emergency..

I will let you all know. For now nothing has happened except the pips, but most of my hatches happen overnight anyway so we will see. I think they usually stay in the air cell for up to 24 hours so as long as nothing is wrong with them that first egg should hatch tonight since the first one was pipped when I woke up. Temp is at 99-100 degrees and humidity is at 73-75% lid has been locked down tight no opening what so ever. So wait wait wait again

Just a few minutes ago the first one hatched

The shell looks perfect so incubation and humidity were perfect. The other two eggs are working on zipping every now and then you will see a beak pop through the shell and they are working their way around on the inside so I think this will turn out to be a very successful hatch. Today was their hatch day too, so right on time.
