The non-food grade DE has nothing to do with "cacium" as posted by one reader! My research indicates it contains 65% crystalline silica which is deadly if you breath it. In order to be food grade, it must have a crystalline silica content of less than 3 percent. PermaGuard brand Codex Food Grade DE has less than 1/2 of 1 %, and is FDA approved.
