Use Valbazen liquid cattle/sheep wormer. Orally dose each bird 1/2cc. Repeat again in 10-14 days. What do you reccomend now easiest way to treat roundworm? Thank you!
A small drop is not enough, they need 0.23 ml per pound of body weight for 5 consecutive days if you want to treat almost all of the worms that chickens get.I would like to go in the coop while everyone is calm and easily `handled and give all my hens a dose of safeguard orally. I want to make sure everyone gets a dose because if I just put it in water, they drink from the goats buckets to, I guess I could deworm EVERYONE at the same time with the goat SafeGuard, is that ok?...
Would I just give a small drop per hen? I imagine a quarter of a ml?

Just making sure.....is it really 3cc per gallon of water for the Safeguard 10% liquid suspension dewormer for goats when using it for chickens?Quote:
I've never used ivomec 1% injectable, I dont know the dosage to be given orally. However, it can be added to water to worm your chickens; 4cc per gallon of water, leave it out for them to drink 2 days in a row, then discard, it must be their sole source of water during those 2 days. 14 days later dose them with the safeguard 10% suspension liquid goat wormer; 3cc per gallon of water. Leave it out for 2 days, then discard. It must be their sole source of water. Discard eggs for 14 days after using the ivomec, and 14 days after using the fenbendazole.
