dominique roo or pullet?

I have an 18 week old dominique "hen" or so I thought until recently. starlight has long, curved tail feathers, not quite fully grown out... she looks like a rooster, but hasn't crowed!!!! when do roos start crowing? and can hens have long tail feathers? hu
oh, and she doesnt have long pointed feathers on her neck, and no spurs.....

1 Australorp, 2 Polish, 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 Bantam BR, 2 red sex links, a German shepherd,and a cat. Planning on flock additions in January!

Picture needed.  Males lighter in color than females.  Females from two of my stocks with curved feathers.

You have a pullet.   The standard calls for the top tail feathers to curve down in the females.   That's what you're seeing there!

Pullet / female.  Tails very similar to those on birds I acquired from Ideal or Privett hatcheries.  When they molt into next set of feathers, the sicle feathers will be less evident.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!
