I'm new here and live in indy. I'm wanting to get started keeping a few chickens and have decided that I want to keep delawares. Is there anyone around that could sell me some chicks or eggs? I'd rather not buy them from a hachery. thanks!

You might consider mentioning this is in the Kentucky and Illinois conversations as well. I would think that you might get folks from Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois that would be interested....maybe even Tennessee????

I only own 3 acres now anyway....there will be a day when I have more....but not yet.

so much for waiting to find delawares and getting them locally, lol. I went into TSC today and left with 6 golden comet pullets. I'm really a chicken owner!!
