I'm in east Texas, never have seen it here.

Who knew chickens were so much fun?

I believe it is made by Cargill.  My Agway has it, but I never tried it.

That's what I use. The chickens haven't complained. They just gave me 6 eggs for 6 chickens on 12 hours of light. The yolks are dark and the eggs are large. The only issue I have is that it's only 16% protein. I have mixed a bag of various seeds which bump up their protein intake a bit.

I just started feeding a bag of Nature Smart organic chick starter/grower (20% protein I think) to my chicks. They like it.

I mix my own feed, but for my chicks, I do feed crumbles.

More importantly, it passes the sniff test! Some of the feeds really smell BAD.

I just wanted to let people know that I have been using this brand chick starter (20%) protein and I am really happy with it. smile
