I would really like a nice blue pullet or two to cross with my splash to create some more splash. I had one but she was a very dark blue and not real typey so I rehomed her to a nice lady that just wanted to watch them in her hen house. smile

Hi, everybody. I got some hatching eggs from Dick Horstman and hatched two Orp. bantams this year. I got a blue and a splash, both pullets! I love the way they look, so I'm looking to get a rooster soon. One thing I've noticed at shows is that my bantams are smaller than the other bantam Orps have been. I'm anxious to see how they do at the show in Shawnee, OK next week.

I need to get new pictures. These were taken about a month ago. They look more filled out now.

Beautiful girls Julie! I am incubating some blacks and blues right now and will probably have a cockerel or two available if you are interested?

I think I have found one, but I'll keep you in mind if it doesn't work out. Thanks!

I might be interested in a blue or splash boy.  Ever go as far north as Richmond, VA?

I wish roll  I can barely get my birds tested enough to attend the shows in Maryland and Virginia annually.  We will see....

Do MD & VA test at the shows? Here in NC it has been really convenient, they have state testers at every show and it only takes a second. I'm pretty sure that even though you are out of state it would apply to you as well? Just as long as they are tested before coop in.  I would love to have a fellow orp owner and bycer at a show. big_smile

Most states require out of state birds to be tested for AI within 10 days of transport into another state.

Hmmm, not sure that NC is one of those states. There were quit a few birds for VA and a few from WV at the last show in Winston Salem. I guess I will have to ask someone..
