How big are they? I like the imported chocolate orp banties...but I feel like more people are interested in making them bigger than bringing them down to a nice u.s. bantam size.

Still in the frozen white north. As far as I can tell, "Winter is coming" is old news.

These are a true bantams. I also have the bantam chocolates. I agree lots of people are trying to up their size. I have 3 different lines of the chocs and have been selecting my smallest ones to keep back for breeders so to continue breeding a true chocolate bantam Orp. I will also use these imported blacks to incorporate with them to keep their color nice and dark.

100% Imported Orpingtons

Large Fowl: Blue, Black, Splash, Buff, Chocolate

Bantam: Blue. Black, Splash, Lavender, Chocolate and Mauve

Also have corgis, quarter horses, one super understanding husband and an amazing little girl!

I did not import them myself. I bought them from their importer. They are Dutch/Holland lines.

My newest addition to my bantam orpingtons!

Proud Member of the UOC
There are too many breeds and varieties in the world to have them all... but its too hard just to choose a few.

Currently breeding Bantam Orpingtons, Anconas, White Faced Black Spanish, and RC Rhode Island Reds.  Also have Buff, Blue Swedish and Runner ducks along with Chinese Geese.

I'm guessing my cockarel is 8 months old and I've yet to get a fertilized egg from the pair.  I know he is going through the motions, but no fertilization.  How long do you wait?
