Frozen Chickens with frozen feet...what can I do? HELP!

Wynette - Until you mentioned heated poultry waterer - I didn't know they existed! I did a search and what turned up online was the same heated dog bowl that I have, BUT they had put a standard waterer inside. I never knew that could work!!! I hate our dog dish because it doesn't clean easily and its far too large for my four hens.

Thanks for the suggestion! I am sure there are proper poultry waterers but if I can make what I have work by just getting a standard poultry waterer (since they are affordable) I am very happy. It is not likely I will find a proper heated poultry waterer where I live anyway.

Not that I need any of this today - it is balmy and mucky here for the last few days. I wish it was back to below freezing as the girls were cleaner!

I'm using two plug-in doggie dishes. I filled them with sand and set the poultry waterers on top. They are fine down to zero degrees. When it's zero and below, I exchange one out in the morning and one in the afternoon. Otherwise I just exchange one each morning with fresh. I put ACVwith mother (just about a tsp per gallon) in their water, too. My poultry waterers are the white plastic with red tray common kind. I have three so I rotate out one at a time. Hope this helps!
