Of Course you can use canned peaches for smoothies....I do it all the time because fresh peaches are not in season year round. I drain mine and puree them in the blender with milk, a little sugar and a scoop full of ice. Sometimes I throw in some frozen blueberries too. nummy, nummy, nummy.

Oh, and I use the drained syrup to drizzle on pancakes or vanilla ice cream for a topping. I suppose you could thicken it with some cornstarch and cook until clear, but I only go to that much trouble for guests.

Lately I have been splurging for mangos and making a smoothie with them (my favorite! but blueberry (because they are always in the freezer) are also great!!

So You follow the Yogi approach! If any of you are going what are chakras but were afraid to ask go to this site and it explains a little http://healing.about.com/cs/chakras/a/alignchakras.htm this is not totally unlike Asian Medicines (Chinese for one that open the different channels of energy (CHI) for One)
I will have to see if I can find some of my sites that make esential oils for medicinal use!! What types of oils are you looking for if I may ask!

Dont freeze when you see grains! These little beauties are like no other grains you have ever seen! \\\\

Ernie

Just thought I would mention real quick: when you are searching for oils, make sure the oils you are looking at are ok for internal use as well-they must be pure essential oils. There are many oils out there that are synthetic and are no good for holistic use either inside or outside the body. This is why pure oils are so expensive. Aura Cacia makes a decent oil at a fair price if you are on a budget. Young Living/doTerra are top of the line and therefore kinda pricey.

Also remember that organic is better especially when using essential oils because in the process the toxins as well as the "good stuff" condense.

You know, I remember a naturopath telling me once that joint pain can actually be related to digestive issues. She said that often times a person who has leaky gut syndrome will Leach partially undigested foods into their bodies, causing a toxicity which will show up as joint pain due to inflammation. In which case, probiotics would probably help.

Not sure about carpel tunnel though.

can't hurt!

You could try making a tincture with anti inflammatory and pain relieving herbs...

Good luck!

Also a very good and true point.
The digestive stuff leaking can circulate and cause irritation in the sonovial fluids in joints...lots of "stuff" can get "caught" in joints.
Having a Tablespoon of Food Grade DE in 8 oz of water each morning for 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off is what I do. This mixture should gently 'scrub' the intestines, absorb alot of toxins, and do away with any parasites...so my animals and myself all get our dose.
I will get right back with a link.

A good link that covers alot of points:

So I get 50# bags of wonderful clean food grade DE, for $27 at my feed store and use in poop trays under roosts, in dust baths mixed with sand for the birds to dust bathe in during muddy months

No Bother at all I myself only wash the jar about every 3 days as the culturing is a continuos process and the left over Kefir is a help to the grains to hasten the growth of the grains also! Mine now are almost doubling in size each day it seams! BTW the more grains You use per quart the faster they grow! I experiment a lot with the grains as I have so many now I am starting to send out some! By all Means you may use the canned peaches to make the smoothies with! Once the Kefir is made and strained you can use almost anything your little heart desires Fresh is better but frozen works just as well as well as HOME Canned!

OK the DE is also one of the things I use all the time! I have Arthritis in My Knees and also have pain in my elbows which is probably Old Arthur knocking at my door! The Use of DE actually falls right into Our forum here as we have kinda taken it Past the JUST Probiotics to Natural Health for not only us but our chickens! I Take a tablespoon each day I just mix it into a small glass of water and slam it down! I also add it to my chickens feed on a regular basis for parasite control and I think I feel less pain in my joints than normal and this time of year is usually extremely bad due to the cold damp weather here in Missouri

I just add it to the feed about once a week and just mix it in

Ernie,

does the DE filter to the bottom?
Ginny

And what does taking the DE do for you?
