here is one of my brooders
Very good idea!OK.. here is mine..
I made this out of two cabinets. Yanked the back of of each and cobbled them together. Put 1/4" hardware cloth on one end and left the doors on the other (which I put a lock on the handles to keep predators and children from simply opening the door). The lower shelf goes all the way through (it is an old window I found in my garage attic). The upper shelf is only part-way and it is fun to guess which chick is going to firgure out how to get up there first! I'm pretty proud of it as I did it all myself to prove to hubby that he would not have to spend money on a brooder and that getting chickens would be easy and low-cost!
This is the best brooder of them all...

Totally agree. I have two right now and a total of 7 this summer. They hatch my shipped eggs. My broodies get better hatch rate then I do.
Here's one of mine.Each of the top and middle compartments are 4'x3'x18",the bottoms are 3'x2'x18".My other brooder has 8 3'x2'x18" compartments.
