Never did figure out what happened to the one with the real bad place. The other one just got tore up by my rooster, Rudy. He picked her out as his favorite for a while and was just relentless! I had to separate her for a while to give her a break. He is gone now (ate him) and her feathers are growing back nicely. The other one is healing slowly and seems to be doing fine, except she doesn't eat as much as I'd like, especially if I separate her from the others. I have been worried she wouldn't have enough stamina to stand the cold, but she seems to be holding her on. I have a chicken saddle on her to cover the wound and help keep her warm.

Mom to 3 sons, 2 horses, 1 Chesapeake, 2 BO's, 1 SLW, and 7 refrigerator chicks (eggs hatched after being refrigerated), they are 5 SLW's and 2 BO/SLW crosses.

Them roosters can be rentless, I had a one a brahma and he terrorized my little bantams till they wouldn't even come out of their house, we're eating on him right now, I made chicken and dumplings, At least their good for something, actually I let the girls pick his bones they got revenge.  wink   I have 2 roos now that are so gentle with the girls
