I would say grey fox, based on the black-edged tail. Many greys will have lots of red on them, but they are still noticeably "gray". Also the chest area looks lighter, also indicating grey to me.

Not sure but its cute love. Could you look up fox species in your area & narrow it down by looking at size, shape, & color?

Check my photo back a page or two of a gray fox.  I know it was a gray since I've also seen it around in the daytime plus on some photo, someplace, I do have a red for comparison purposes--just can't locate it amongst the 500 or so game cam photos.sad

I live on 7.5 acres in the western Catskill foothills where I have a 3200 sq.ft veggie garden, 100-plant blueberry patch as well as strawberry and raspberry patches, 4 cats and over 4 dozen chickens: Black Stars, RIR's,  EE's, Brown leghorns, BR's, Buff Orpingtons, Black Australops (including one very happy EE rooster) plus 16 guinea fowl. I've been keeping chickens since I was in high school...

This is an awesome thread! I love seeing all the "wild" pics. I wish I had a game cam...

“You can’t really begin to appreciate life until it has knocked you down a few times. You can’t really begin to appreciate love until your heart has been broken. And you can’t really begin to appreciate happiness until you’ve known sadness. Once you’ve walked through the valley, the view from the mountaintop is breathtaking"
